Changes
Do you ever feel like your life is on a treadmill, you feel like its not going anywhere like you've been constantly running in place doing the same thing everyday! Well that's the way I feel, I've been stuck in a situation that has a sort of "twilight zone" atmosphere to it. For the past couple years I have basically kept the same routine, I'll wake up at like 10am, go workout for a hour or so, take a shower, than before you know it I'll be on my way to work from 3pm to 11pm, so I'll get off work come home relax watch some TV than hit the sack only to repeat the same process the next day. Like I said for the most part that's what I did, yea I went out with friends and family every now and than but working was my life; I worked just about every shift their was 7am to 3pm, 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm, 10am to 6pm, 3pm to 11pm, you probably think you get the picture but you cannot quite see it yet, 4pm to 12am, 5pm to 1am, and my most hated shift 10pm to 6am. Everyone knows that working midnights is cool because of the money you just know that sooner or later you'll start "resembling goblin or creature that lurks throughout the night" and that's not my persona; I don't wanna sleep all day when everyone is out enjoying their day only to go to work all night, while other people are peacefully sleeping like its Christmas eve which signifies that I was none other than the "grinch." A set schedule didn't exist for me at my job, I took overtime whenever it was available "Hey Jared do you wanna come in and work...man who called off...alright I'll be their in a minute....my job called me in we'll hangout tomorrow or something." I believe that it's time for me to hop off that treadmill and go running around the world like "Forrest Gump." I'm choosing to go on trips, to attend a barbecue and eat a hot plate without the microwave, to watch sports games live on TV as oppose to via tweets and text messages, and to do whatever it is that I feel open towards because I'm not hassled by the hours spent at my occupation. It's plenty of changes that I want in my life and as long as I make the necessary changes daily, I'll be on the right path instead of sinking in quicksand accomplishing nothing. So I'm going to set short term and long term goals to reshape this life of mine. I'm setting out on the open road with my shoes laced tight on my feet, but first I gotta do some stretching.
